Urban Green Council and the NewYork Chapter of the American Institute of Architects have developed a four-hour course to familiarize building professionals with the 2010 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State (ECCCNYS-2010).
Cracking the Energy Code teaches the fundamentals of low energy design and the processes available to demonstrate compliance, focusing on commercial buildings and residential buildings over three stories. Intended primarily for architects, engineers, and code consultants, the course offers GBCI and AIA continuing education credits, which can also be used by NY State Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
