Register now for the New York Upstate Chapter of the USGBC's presentation on LEED Charrettes: Planning and Conducting More Effective Stakeholder Meetings.
What is a “green building”? A building that employs a process in which as much information as possible is addressed early and with a clear goal of Triple Bottom Line success for the work. This session includes presentation and workgroup-based examples focused on learning and affirming skills in leading early LEED charrette meetings. A LEED Charrette meeting should not be a mere review of a checklist, as that will ingrain the “point for point’s sake” mentality and undermine the true benefits of whole building design. Learn how to balance passionate inputs from participants and guide the process without limiting the involvement of the individuals. Our charrette goal: to achieve the best results for the project, including commitment and collaboration on the difficult or contentious aspects of the work. Learn also how to plan the meeting to support this successful outcome.
