Porous pavements are becoming a popular method of green infrastructure used to meet NYSDEC's stormwater requirements and reduce runoff from impervious surfaces. Join us to learn more about these materials and how to apply them to your current site or during the design of your next project.
Learning Objectives:

Identify the five general types of porous pavements.

Distinguish between using porous pavement as a conveyance system and as an infiltration system.

Assess considerations which may influence the selection of porous pavement.

Employ maintenance techniques to extend the longevity of porous pavements.

About the Presenter:
Erin Reynolds graduated cum laude from the Landscape Architecture program at SUNY ESF in 2003. She performed her off-campus studio in the Cinque Terre, Italy where she studied the “Essence of Place.” In 2006, Erin became a registered Landscape Architect in New York State. She is a member of ASLA, and currently serves as secretary for the NYS Council of Landscape Architects. Erin works at Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt, where she specializes in site design, stormwater management, specification development, and green infrastructure.
