Quality Installation and Quality Maintenance Standards – Real-Life Building Blocks for LEED Cx Credits

This webinar qualifies for 1 GBCI CE.

This is a live-on-line webinar that you can participate in via computer from your office or home.  No driving, no parking.  Now how green is that?

This session will present an introduction to the ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA Quality Installation and Quality Maintenance standards; the relationship between these standards and LEED commissioning credits; current market conditions for HVAC mechanical firms and service providers using these standards; and the use and benefits of QM for rooftop units where diagnostic tools are used to optimize refrigerant charge and airflow.

Attendees will gain an understanding of how ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA standards for Quality Installation (QI) and Quality Maintenance (QM) directly relate to commissioning credits under LEED BD+C and LEED EBOM, and, how QM can be integrated into a building O&M plan.

References: ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA Standard 180 for Quality Maintenance (www.acca.org/industry/quality/quality-maintenance) and ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA Standard 5 for Quality Installation (www.acca.org/industry/quality/quality-installation).

Learning Objectives:

Course attendees will be able to:
1.Recognize and understand the ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA Quality Maintenance (QM) and Quality Installation (QI) standards.
2. Understand how these standards support and enhance the commissioning credits under B+C and EBOM.
3. Present and integrate QI to design teams during the Cx planning process.
4. Present and integrate QM into the O&M process and manual for building owners/operators.
